Why I Love Walmart As A Busy Mom

Walmart. You either love them or hate them. I spent a large chunk of my life hating them because I grew up in a tiny little town where that was basically your only option to buy anything. So, I swore I’d never shop there again when I was all grown up.

Fast forward to now…and I have an active toddler who doesn’t care to sit still for long and suddenly Walmart is my hero.

Why? I can tell you in three words: Walmart Grocery Pickup.

It has been LIFE CHANGING. For real.

And…before we go any further let me just say that I am in no way being compensated by Walmart or anyone else to write this. They don’t even know I exist. I just really love it so much and want as many moms to find out about it because it’ll change your life!

Okay, so here’s how it works.

They have an app called Walmart Grocery or you can start your order online. It’s seriously crazy easy. You just search for the item you want, add it to your cart, schedule a time to drive to pick it up and put in your payment information. Then when it’s time to pick up your order you drive up to the building, park your car and they will bring it out AND load it for you! You just have to have a $30 minimum order and for me, I always hit that easily!

But what if an item I need is out of stock?

This is one of my favorite parts: if an item is out of stock and you have checked the box when you ordered that allows them to substitute an item for you they will give you something similar. The kicker? It’s going to be of equal or greater value. Never a subpar product and you don’t pay extra for it! You’ll still be charged the price of the original item. Awesome.

What about fresh produce?

I personally have not had any issues with ordering fresh produce this way. They always choose fruits and vegetables that are good quality and they’ve always been in fantastic condition!

You get the same prices as you would going inside the store yourself!

They have so many products to choose from and I’ve been saving money shopping this way since I don’t see the impulse buys around the store. I seriously love that they’ve started offering this service now. It makes it so much easier as a mom with a little kid that now I don’t even have to get him out of the car seat when I need to get groceries and household items! They’ve always been so friendly and helpful too.

So, if it’s available in your area give it a go!

Game. Changer. Yo.
